
Before you read my opinions on some pest control practices at the Lake, please remember there are some great pest service operators in our area. I urge you to be loyal to your current provider if you are happy and have a trusting relationship. This page is simply to make people aware of some of the practices that I have witnessed and the stories that I have heard from my customers. You need to be informed. The application of chemicals in and around your home is an important matter. Oh. . .where to begin? I believe that I'll start with one of my pet complaints. Being OVERSOLD on pest services. How many people reading this were sold a pest control program over the phone? How many of those people received a pitch for a monthly interior and exterior applications almost immediately? I'll agree that there are a great number of people that need a monthly service, but many do not need monthly interior applications. I have customers with the right environment that do actually need regular monthly service, but many of their next door neighbors do not. I rarely apply chemical inside my home and we never see any insects inside. This is the case with many homes depending on the construction of the home. My point is to be informed, learn what is necessary and appropriate for your home and family That is where we come in. Unless we are replacing your current pest control program with our improved pest SERVICES, we would have quite a few questions for you. In most cases we prefer to see your property, discuss your problems and any concerns that you may have. We will point out any changes that can be made to physically discourage a buggy enivronment. We would want to know the status of your family. Such as, children and their ages, types of pets if any, allergies or health concerns of family members, etc. Many times people know very little about the chemicals being used. You should be able to trust your pest control provider to protect the safety of your family and that is usually the case. But for the consumer willing to spend the time, why not read the labels of the products being applied around your family and/or pets? Here is your opportunity. Click on this link cdms.net . You should be able to find any label you need. If not CONTACT US , we will help you. If you do not know what is being applied, simply look at your last invoice, the information should be there. Read the label carefully and decide where you want these chemicals applied or if you still want these chemicals applied. Always remember one very important thing. . .almost any general pest problem can be solved with NO OPEN APPLICATION OF CHEMICAL inside your home. If this is important to you, you need to call us. We can show you how! If you happen to have a rare situation that you feel requires monthly interior applications, you also need to call us. Because very few residences need monthly open baseboard applications, if you take the right measures. Don't be oversold. Another one of my favaorite complaints involves winter service. Once again there are examples of homes needing year 'round service. But once again, not that many. As explained on the CONDO OWNERS page, many customers suffer winter time intrusions needlessly. In many cases these services could be better utilized seasonally for those with a bi-monthly or quarterly service. Chemicals applied indoors are protected from the weather and generally remain effective much longer than chemicals exposed to sun and rain. In most homes, exclusion of pests is possible providing the right physical and chemical means are utilized. Many times a problem will not be truly corrected by chemical means alone no matter how often you apply chemicals. Demand the Absolute right service or plan for YOUR family and home. Don't settle for a generic chemical application program when you can have truly tailored, Absolute Pest Solutions. Another thing. . .people owning vacation homes. Other than seeing or not seeing bugs when you arrive, do you know very much about your pest control program. Are you certain the same care is being taken in regards to your home and family as in the case of a full time or present homeowner. We will call you if we notice anything that needs addressed.(I've made several calls over the years due to a loose soffit or a sinking boat lift.) And we won't spray your house in the rain. What's that? You didn't think that would be done. Guess again. it's done on a regular basis. Every vacation home-owner that reads this should take out all of your past pest control invoices. Now, for anybody that realizes that their home was serviced on a rainy day, CONTACT US , I assure you that would not be done at Absolute Pest Solutions. These are just a few examples of which you should be aware. I had a customer swear to me (literally swear, as in cussing mad) that he was in the woods across from his home when his pest control technician pulled into his driveway, placed an invoice in his door and then proceeded to. . .leave. He also told me that when he called the office of this company, he was not believed. Of course I can't name the company. I will say that in the case mentioned, dealing with the larger companies didn't lead to customer satisfaction. Be careful not to fall into the webs of CHEAP pest control. Let me explain. We can match the price of any large competitor. We will provide service that is beyond compare. We will retain every customer that calls on us for service. Except. . .every once in a great while, we will lose a customer to CHEAP pest control. Some larger company will knock on a customer's door and promise the same quality of service for just a few dollars savings. Unfortunately the customer that falls for this, always winds up on the short end of the stick. In many cases it is condominium owners getting stuck with CHEAP pest control because bids are taken more frequently. I have gained properties recently at a price I could match yet the account had not seen an increase in their pest control cost in nearly a decade. That type of competitiveness is not healthy for the consumer, nor your smaller, service-oriented companies. Remember, we can match the big boys in price, but at Absolute Pest Solutions, we will never grow at a pace that will dissappoint a single customer. That is a very important part of OUR PLEDGE to you. The latest thing I find unbelievable is automatic pest control. I have been doing this for years, I know how difficult it is and the types of chemicals required to keep a Lake home pest free. I don't think I'll being signing up to have a rather large contraption installed full of chemical in or around my home. I sure wouldn't want automatic pest control on my dock. Not only do I seriously doubt the effectiveness, I have never had a sprinkler system that didn't malfunction on a regular basis. We've all seen the hilarious videos of people getting caught in a sprinkler system malfunction. Those videos almost always take place in facilities with state of the art sprinkler systems. This sure isn't what I would want for my family or home. And once again it is a chemical application program, not a truly tailored pest service. I think that these stories and examples will assist informed consumers in avoiding the pitfalls of poor pest control. Your deserve truly tailored, absolute service. DO NOT LEAVE THIS PAGE without remembering the very first sentences at the top. There are alot of good guys in the pest control business. I will stand behind everything I say on this site, including my pledge, but I am not the only one. If you know that your bug-guy wouldn't do any of these things, keep him (or her)! Don't give up your current service because of endless oversized ads or hard sells for cheaper services from the large companies. Don't even let this site change your mind. The most important things are a trusting relationship, customer service and effective products. If you have all three, keep your bug-guy. We are not here to convince you that we are the only people you can trust. I know if we were not in the business, I would trust any of the guys at Best Pest to take care of my pest control needs, and would probably find others if I were an informed consumer.
