Absolute Pest Solutions pledges to always be a contributing member of our community. We will provide free services for as many area charities as we can. We will expand our charity services as we grow. We would also like to challenge other area businesses to do the same. If not monetary contributions, offer the services of your company. Any savings you can provide through services is a donation in the end. Look around and you will see a great number of companies, both local and out-of-town, that are reaping great rewards from the tremendous growth of our area. Yet, many of these companies do not contribute in any way to the local charities. Many out-of-town property owners would be happy to support our local charities if they knew more about the wonderful work that they perform. We, as small business owners, have lines of communication with these folks. We can bring these charities to their attention. We can let them know that the Lake Area has a colossal stray, feral, and abandoned pet population. We can let them know that our animal shelters have to turn away hundreds of needy animals each month. Ask your customers how long they can stand in their own yard before they see a stray or feral cat. We can let them know that we have food pantries that run short of supplies. We have family charities that need their assistance. We have charities that deal with the struggles of seasonal population with full-time charitable needs. The small businesses working in our area, as well as those locally owned, can do so much more. We should take note of what many of our business groups do for charities and be more supportive. Most importantly, no matter the size of your gift or donated service it all adds up. A free repair from a service provider or car-load of items to a local charity thrift shop (there are many), it is all needed and appreciated. Currently S.T.A.F.F. animal shelter in Sunrise Beach is struggling to build a new building. The plans have been drawn. The plans, by the way, were provided as a donated service. They could use not only monetary donations but donated labor from your trade would be extremely helpful. Framers, plumbers, roofers, concrete workers. . . . STEP UP TO THE PLATE! Give S.T.A.F.F. a call 374-2629, tell them you want to help. Go one step further, let all of our local charites know that they can count on your company when you are needed. These charities do a great job of showing their support for the businesses willing to help. It is good business and most importantly, It is the right thing to do! We would like to form a group of service providers and businesses that would always be available for these charities when needed. Think about the difference that you could make. Then, CONTACT US if you are interested in becoming a partner to your local charities. If you are a local charity in need of services from Absolute Pest Solutions, CONTACT US. We would love to help. These charities are listed in alphabetical order. We strongly urge you to explore each and find at least one that you can assist or support. I'm certain anything that you can do for one or all would be greatly appreciated. Below is information and links for the local charities that we currently service and support. Please check back, this list will grow!
BLUE MOON SANCTUARY P.O. Box 294 Linn Creek, MO. 65052 (573)317-9385 http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/bluemoonsanctuary.html You simply will not believe the condition of some of the animals rescued by Blue Moon. Even more impressive is the love and care provided to so many animals from so few volunteers. Please check out Blue Moon Sanctuary. Have tissues handy.
DOGWOOD ANIMAL SHELTER 1075 Runabout Dr. Osage Beach, MO. 65065 (573)348-4411 dogwoodshelter@charterinternet.com http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO121.html This is the closest shelter to our home and office. We have taken many of the feral cats that we have rescued to Dogwood for spay and nueter as well as vaccinations. It is really hard to provide their monthly service and not return home with one of the beautiful animals needing a home. Surely many of you have room for one more loving member of your family.
HOPE HOUSE (573)365-0099 14 Lakeland Rd Eldon, MO. 65026 We will be adding information about the Hope House soon. I know that they have a new large facility with a thrift shop that will keep you browsing for hours. Hope House provides various means of assitance to local families. Give them a call and show your support!
S.T.A.F.F. SOCIETY for TREATMENT of ABANDONED and FRACTURED FRIENDS P.O. Box 1324 South HWY 5 Laurie, MO. 65038 (573)374-2629 http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/MO141.html S.T.A.F.F. recently had to turn down over 100 needy animals in one week due to space restraints. They are in the process of building a new home for their wonderful work. You can help through monetary donations, donations of labor and building services, or even items for the thrift store. I have seen the heartbreak in the eyes of the volunteers at S.T.A.F.F. over the amount of animals that they had to turn away. We can all help in some way! The volunteers of these wonderful groups not only deserve our praise and gratitude, they too deserve our support. If a volunteer from one of these great charities calls on your company for products or services, remember the work that they do for YOUR community. Maybe you can give them a little better deal or a discount. At least let these folks know how much you appreciate their dedication to OUR community.
REMEMBER TO HAVE YOUR PET SPAY OR NUETERED. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CURB THE NUMBER OF HOMELESS ANIMALS! IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP THE NEEDY ANIMALS THAT ARE ALREADY HERE! If you have a feral or stray cat in your neighborhood, call Absolute Pest Solutions. We will provide trapping and transportation to a facility of your choice for spay and nuetering AND we will return the cat to your property. All you have to do is pledge to provide food and outdoor shelter for your new feral friend. We will not charge you a dime. Instead we will thank you for doing your part to get our feral cat population under control. We currently feed and care for 8 feral and abandoned cats. They are too feral to live indoors, but are alot of fun to have around and observe. I can finally pet most of them and can catch them for medical care if necessary. We also have NO rodent problems!
